10 Picture Books for Lunar New Year
I know that Lunar New Year is celebrated in more than just the Chinese culture, unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to find titles for Lunar New Year celebrations in other Asian countries (although I did find one). I will also note that some of these titles are most likely not written by people who celebrate this holiday, so please take that information into consideration as well.
I love finding really great children’s books that can introduce readers to a culture that they may not be familiar with. These books can be read to kids as young as toddlers. And can also be used as great conversation starters to link these traditions with traditions that children may be familiar with or practice themselves. Because in the end, we’re all a lot more similar than we are different. Enjoy these great titles and as always, let me know of others that you love to read!
