Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Favorite TV Shows

6 Sep

I love TV shows that are entertaining (and usually light-hearted). I tend to lean toward comedies and/or superhero shows filled with action and adventure.  None of these are probably new to you, but these are some of the shows I’m enjoying right now!

  1. The Big Bang Theory – 30-something year old friends living in California – super nerdy, always hysterical and heartfelt at the same time.
  2. Arrow – I’m a huge fan of super hero movies and shows.  I started watching Arrow on Netflix and caught up and watch it on The CW.
  3. Orphan Black – A BBC America show that is absolutely amazing about clones all played by one actress who does such an amazing job you forget she’s the same person in a number of different roles.
  4. New Girl – A quirky 30-something living in a loft with a few friends, a love interest and a cat where hijinks ensue around every corner.
  5. Jessica Jones – A dark take on the superhero storyline, but one that was very well done on Netflix and I’m anxious for the next season.
  6. Stranger Things – This is one I wasn’t keen on starting (I’m not a fan of scary things in general), but the acting was superb and in the end I really enjoyed it.
  7. The Blacklist – A fugitive on the FBI’s most wanted list agrees to work with the FBI on one condition – he works with one person only.  This is an awesome show about tracking down the worst of the worst.
  8. Bob’s Burger – an animated TV show about a family who own a burger joint in a small town.  The family is hysterical and if you pay attention the opening credits the store front on the right of Bob’s Burgers changes in each episode as does the pest control company’s truck.  Plus any show that has it’s own cookbook has my vote!
  9. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – A young woman who was left in an underground shelter by the leader of cult is now living in NYC and taking control of her life – and you can imagine how that works out.
  10. Archer – Another animated show, this one is much more adult than Bob’s Burgers, but very funny and entertaining about spies.

What are you watching?

I wasn’t so sure I would like it, but I really, really liked it!
