Kids’ Review: Smile

I’m going to try starting a new aspect of my blog with some of the kids I know at the library reviewing books they love (or don’t!).  My first reviewer is “S”, a coworker’s daughter who I’ve known for a number of years.  She’s in middle school now and is an avid graphic novel reader – Bake SaleKristy’s Great Idea and Roller Girl are just a few of the graphic novels that she has devoured more than once.  She knows the library well as she’s often hanging out as her mom works and has begun helping me this summer with little projects I have.  So here is S’s second review of Smile:
6393631.jpgTitle: Smile
Author: Raina Telgemeier
Rate the book on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being hated it and 10 being loved it): 10/10
Brief Summary: A girl scout named Raina came home one day after Girl Scouts.  She was running and knocked out her two front teeth.  She has on and off braces, surgery and a lot of things going on with her life.
Review: I rated this book a 10 because the pictures were amazing and I really like to read about other people’s lives.  In 2nd grade, I had braces and it was interesting to read about Raina’s journey with braces.  I also liked to rad about Raina’s school life and what happens at school.  That is why I really liked the book, Smile.
