Kids' Review: Bake Sale
I’m going to try starting a new aspect of my blog with some of the kids I know at the library reviewing books they love (or don’t!). My first reviewer is “S”, a coworker’s daughter who I’ve known for a number of years. She’s in middle school now and is an avid graphic novel reader – Smile, Kristy’s Great Idea and Roller Girl are just a few of the graphic novels that she has devoured more than once. She knows the library well as she’s often hanging out as her mom works and has begun helping me this summer with little projects I have. So without further ado, here is S’s first review:
Title: Bake Sale
Author: Sara Varon
Rate the book on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being hated it and 10 being loved it): 10/10
Brief Summary: Cupcake owns a bakery. After work, he goes to band practice. Eggplant is Cupcake’s best friend. Eggplant is going on a trip and only has one ticket so Cupcake has to set up a bake sale to earn money for the ticket. But with work and the bake sale will he have enough time for the band?
Review: I really liked this book because the characters are adorable and cute. The story is very descriptive and interesting. I liked the characters as food, so it can be more interesting and fun.
