It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 6/20/16 – Literacious
I got through two of the books I planned this week – The Cresswell Plot by Eliza Wass about a group of siblings who live with their parents, but you’ll learn as the story progresses that the father believes he hears messages directly from God and keeps the kids close to home. It’s a fascinating story about cult behaviors and what it takes to break away from those beliefs. The second book I read was called Genius: The Game by Leopoldo Gout about a group of teens from around the world who are invited to The Game – for hackers, bio-chemists, engineers, activist bloggers and more. As the game progresses, the participants begin realizing they are in way over their heads and that the game isn’t so much of a game… This upcoming week is going to be busy as we officially kick off our summer reading program! But, my plan is to read a few books that I’ve received as ARCS and some that I’ve gotten from the library. The Gallery by Laura Marx Fitzgerald The Seventh Wish by Kate Messner The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill Join Jen from Teach Mentor Texts and Kellee and Ricki from Unleashing Readers and share all of the reading you have done over the week from picture books to young adult novels. Follow the links to read about all of the amazing books the #IMWAYR community has read. It’s the best way to discover what to read next.
