It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 5/2/16

2 May

I have a lot of reading to do!   Especially since I picked up a bunch of ARCs at PLA in Denver a few weeks ago!  I try and read each one before it’s actually published and then either pass it on to a reader at work or send them to teacher friends to add to their classroom library.  No matter how hard I try, I always end up with more ARCs than I plan on, but they don’t go to waste – I try and make sure to read them all and if I don’t they go to a reader who I think will enjoy them!  I’m hoping to participate in Bout of Books next week, with a focus of getting through some ARCs to get me moving, but I’m going to start reading a bunch this week to clear off a little space on my bookshelf!

My week of reading:

  • The Best Man by Richard Peck
  • School of the Dead by Avi
  • Wishing Day by Lauren Myracle

I’ll also be working late a few days this week and working on Saturday which really cuts into my reading time, so we’ll see how much I can get through.  I also have a few things checked out from the library right now that I want to finish and get returned:

  • Just My Luck by Cammie McGovern
  • Sweet Home Alaska by Carole Estby Dagg
  • Me and Miranda Mullaly by Jake Gerhardt

Join Jen from Teach Mentor Texts and Kellee and Ricki from Unleashing Readers and share all of the reading you have done over the week from picture books to young adult novels. Follow the links to read about all of the amazing books the #IMWAYR community has read. It’s the best way to discover what to read next.

I’m about halfway through the Entirely True Story of the Unbelievable FIB. I also just picked up When you Reach Me to read!
