This books just begs for a theme song with the harmonica tying three stories together spread across multiple decades. This book needs a theme song.

Crossover by Kwame Alexander
Crossover already has got such a great beat with the novel in verse, it’s another book that just has to have a theme song.  Maybe something more R&B or rap.

Wonder by R.J. Palaccio
This is one of my top ten books of all time and I could totally see a strong, inspirational song created based around this book

Circus Mirandus by Cassie Beasley
A book filled with belief in magic, this book needs a theme song that has a lilting melody that you really have to pay attention to hear.

A Snicker of Magic by Natalie Lloyd
Another book with a touch of music, this book’s theme song would lean toward a pop, bright, happy sound.

Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt
A theme song that starts off shaky at first and grows stronger and stronger, just like the main character in this book. And definitely has to end with a HUGE belting note!

Crenshaw by Katherine Applegate
An acoustic, quiet song that makes the listener feel a little bit alone and a little bit sad, but with enough hope that makes you keep listening.

Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library by Chris Grabenstein
I can see the theme song to this being one that gets stuck in your head for days… think board game jingle!

The Marvels by Brian Selznick
I picture this song as something that races through the years as the story starts out in 1766 and stretches to 1990.

The Jumbies by Tracey Baptiste
I think the island music would just be so fun to listen to as a theme song and we can’t forget the dark parts of the story giving the music an edge too!
