Toddler Storytime Theme: Color RED

Toddler Storytime Theme: Color RED

My storytime was definitely not my favorite today, the kids didn’t really seem to enjoy the books but were really into our scarf song.  I think part of the reason is that we have a little boy in class with a disability who comes with an adult and an aide and he can be very distracting during the program. I don’t mind having them in our program, but the aide and caregiver together can get a little loud as they try and help the little boy, which then distracts the other kids from the story. I also think my books were a little too long for my age group – I have a lot of young 2’s which makes anything more than a concept book difficult.  I’m hoping Friday goes better than today!
