It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 8/31/15
I got through a good number of books this week! I really enjoyed Currents by Jane Petrlik Smolik, a story interwoven between three young girls in the mid 1800s. I have always loved historical fiction and this book was really interesting! The next book I read was called The Education of Ivy Blake by Ellen Airgood a companion novel to Prairie Evers as you learn more about Ivy and her life. I also re-read Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library by Chris Grabenstein to prepare for our book discussion and followed it with Book Scavenger by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman, which if you liked Grabenstein, you’ll enjoy Bertman. Over the weekend I finished up The Shrunken Head by Lauren Oliver which follows four orphans who live in a museum of oddities and what happens when the shrunken head is stolen from their museum. Finally, I started Shadowshaper by Daniel José Older which is already really interesting and I can’t wait to finish it!
I’m hoping to finish Shadowshaper this week as well as read:
- Sunny Side Up by Jennifer L. Holm
- Scrap City by D.S. Thornton
- Orbiting Jupiter by Gary D. Schmidt
- The Vigilante Poets of Selwyn Academy by Kate Hattemer

Laura, can I just say that your blog blows me away. And also makes me feel like a total underachiever 🙂
