My storytimes for the summer officially started yesterday and we have so many people on our waiting list, I’ll be doing my Yoga Storytime back-to-back.  The room we use for our program isn’t very large, so we decided to smaller classes would be the best way to handle the class.
This first week was a little crazy as people were getting used to the program, we had a few little ones who were very unhappy, making it difficult to read over their crying, but the kids that were interested in the yoga and the books did a great job!  The kids loved both Who Are You, Baby Kangaroo? and The Wheels on the Race Car (singing along with the latter).  I waited on the wordless picture book until the end and I wish I would have done it in the middle, because the kids were getting antsy by the end.  But, overall for the first stoytime of the summer, it went pretty well!
