It's Monday, What Are You Reading? 6/22/2015

After 20 solid hours of reading for this year’s 48 Hour Book Challenge, I’m thinking that I’ll be taking it easy this week with my reading, maybe picking up a book or two, but not as many as I usually do.  Over the weekend, I knocked out nine books and just read through three picture books for storytime this afternoon.

  1. Cartwheeling In Thunderstorms by Katherine Rundell
  2. The Question of Miracles by Elana K. Arnold
  3. George by Alex Gino
  4. The Shadow Hero by Gene Luen Yang
  5. The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place by Julie Berry
  6. Paper Things by Jennifer Richard Jacobson
  7. The Paper Cowboy by Kristin Levine
  8. Honor Girl by Maggie Thrash
  9. Uprooted by Lynne Reid Banks

I’ll most likely be grabbing a few books from my BEA ARCS – The Thing About Jellyfish by Ali Benjamin and Rules for Stealing Stars by Ann Corey Haydu are two that I’ve been wanting to read.

I’m finishing I Am Malala, and then I think I’m going to read Orbiting Jupiter by Gary Schmidt – the rep warned that it would make me cry so I’ve been holding off, but I really want to read it! At PALS they also recommended a book on leadership called “Start with Why,” so I’m going to read that as well.
