It's Monday (*Tuesday), What Are You Reading? 5/26/2015
As I expected, I got very little reading done this weekend, but I got to spend a lot of time with family which was so nice, since my family lives about 5 hours away from me. I was able to finish Dangerous by Shannon Hale and ended up being a little late to work after lunch because I just had to finish it – I really enjoy it! I was also able to read Secrets of the Sky Caves: Danger and Discovery on Nepal’s Mustang Cliffs by Sandra K. Athans – archaeology is always interesting to me and these caves were no different! I’d love to learn more about them, but I’ll have to do some more research as the children’s informational text gave just the bare bones information. I’m currently in the middle of Pieces and Players by Blue Balliet, I loved Chasing Vermeer, so I thought I’d give this one a try. I’m waiting to give my verdict until the end…
And if anyone’s interested in where I spent my reading time this weekend, check out this picture. I’m lucky in that my parents own a cabin on about 14 acres of land with a lake in the middle of the property. It’s definitely an oasis to visit.
This week, I’ll be heading over to BookExpoAmerica, so I’m sure I’ll have a billion new books that I’ll want to read. And I’ll be traveling to a wedding, this weekend which means I’ll have plenty of time to read on the airplane, so I’m hoping to get through a few books! And at home, I already have:
- The Clockwork Scarab: A Stoker & Holmes by Colleen Gleason
- The Detective’s Assistant by Kate Hannigan
- Palace of Lies by Margaret Peterson Haddix
- The Honest Truth by Dan Gemeinhart

I am listening to Stella by Starlight by Sharon Draper, and reading Nightbird by Alice Hoffman. I just finished At the Water’s Edge by Sara Gruen…it was really good! 🙂

I really liked Stella by Starlight, but haven’t read the other two. I’ll have to add them to my TBR list!
