It's Monday, What Are You Reading? 3/30/2015

The Girl on the Train
The Girl on the Train

I’m actually in the middle of an adult book right now, crazy right?  But, my coworker told me I just had to read The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins.  I have about a third of the book left and I’m really enjoying it so far.  I love mysterious, suspenseful novels with intrigue and that’s exactly what this book is all about.  I don’t want to ruin it for you, but if you’re looking for a break from kid’s lit for awhile, I would highly recommend it!
Fish in a Tree
Fish in a Tree

In the world of children’s literature, I’m looking forward to Fish in the Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt, author of One for the Murphys.  I’ve been looking forward to reading it for a few months now and I finally got my hands on a copy last week.

The other book that I’m planning on reading this week is called All the Answers by Kate Messner, author of a number of books for middle grade including Capture the Flag, Wake Up Missing and The Brilliant Fall of Gianna Z.  I’m hoping to have time this week to get to both of these and finish up The Girl on the Train.

Ah, the infamous “adult book” you’ve been reading! I decided to go back and re-read the Wednesday Wars, since I just finished his other book and enjoyed it so much. Should be a quick read since I not only read it, but taught it to 7th graders when I was student teaching!
