This is the first six-week session that I’ve ever done that is not theme-centered. After some really rough storytimes this fall, I decided to switch up a few things to try something. I’m focusing on only storytime books that I absolutely love, I figure if I at least really enjoy the books, it should show through in my storytime. We had a big class yesterday of 2 – 3 1/2 year olds, probably close to 25 kids, some babies and lots of adults. The kids did really well participating, but I had some trouble encouraging the parents to participate, if anyone has a great way to encourage adults in storytime, please let me know! I absolutely loved the new wiggles songs that I learned from Jbrary – a great resource for storytime music and fingerplays and rhymes!
