It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 1/26/15 – Literacious
I had a busy week of reading, specifically this weekend as my doctor put me on “vocal rest” to hopefully heal my month-long battle with laryngitis. Because I couldn’t talk all weekend, I spent the majority of my time reading, which was a great way to keep up with my first reading challenge of the year – reading all the books on the New York Public Library’s 100 Titles for Reading and Sharing 2014. Over the weekend I read, a lot of non-fiction/informational texts with a few folk/fairy tales thrown in for good measure. I really have to say that informational text these days is so much more interesting with primary sources, photographs, and the accessible reading style, it’s much more like reading a story than a “report.” Join Jen from Teach Mentor Texts and Kellee and Ricki from Unleashing Readers and share all of the reading you have done over the week from picture books to young adult novels. Follow the links to read about all of the amazing books the #IMWAYR community has read. It’s the best way to discover what to read next.
