Better Off Friends

Better-Off-Friends-frontSometimes all you need is a feel-good book and that’s exactly what I would describe Better Off Friends as – a feel good book (and it’s exactly what I needed this past week).  Macallan and Levi have been best friends since the day they met.  Now in high school, it’s becoming more difficult to “just be” friends when boys won’t ask Macallan on a date and Levi’s girlfriends don’t understand his relationship with Macallan.  I love the way this story was told in alternating chapters by Macallan and Levi.  And the conversations between the two characters and between the chapters is exactly how I would imagine it to be.  This is definitely not a story for those looking for something deeper – but it’s perfect for that light-hearted reading that everyone needs once in a while.  This is definitely one I’ll be passing on the number of girls who are always looking for a great romantic read.
