Penguin and Pinecone

“One day Penguin found a curious object.”  And so begins this beautiful story of friendship between a penguin and that curious object – a pinecone!  Salina Yoon has created such a cute world with her whimsical illustrations and simple text about what it means to be a friend.  I don’t think I’ll soon forget that little pinecone wearing a scarf.  But when Penguin realizes that Pinecone can’t live in the cold world of penguins, Penguin must make a difficult choice.  It is that choice that shows how powerful friendship can be.  This is definite must-read for bedtime, story time, or anytime.  Check out the book trailer here for Penguin and  Pinecone!
