Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site

Are you looking for a new title to read all about construction trucks?  Well, here it is!  Goodnight, Goodnight Consturciton Site written by Sherri Duskey Rinker with illustrations by Tom Lichtenheld is a great bedtime story for your little guy (or girl) who loves construction equipment.  As the sun goes down, the reader sees each truck finish up one more task and then they’re off to bed.  I really liked how each truck was named in the story and it showed what kind of work the truck does and then there’s a repetitive line that all little boys and girls will like to help with, “shhh… goodnight, (insert truck name here), goodnight.”

I love the illustrations in this book too!  The trucks have great expressions and as each one falls asleep you’ll find blankies, teddy bears, stars, and the moon on each page.  Tom Lichtenheld is one of my favorite illustrators right now with other books to his credit including, Duck! Rabbit!, E-mergency!, and Shark vs. Train.  He creates such wonderful anthropomorphic illustrations that beg you to take a closer look!

For all little ones who love to learn about construction trucks – this is a must read!
