aMAZE me

I first saw this as a Yahoo article – a labyrinth created of over 250,000 books as part of an art installation in London.  You can see it for yourself with some of the photographs taken for Yahoo.

The walls are 2.5 meters high and the entire maze is 500 square meters large – that’s the true meaning of “being lost in a good book[s].”  The maze was inspired by Argentinean writer Jorge Luis Borges.  What is really unique is that the shape of the maze is actually the Borges’s fingerprint.  Not only can you navigate the maze, but literary figures will be providing daily performances at the maze as well.  Also, the money raised from the project will go to fighting poverty around the world through Oxfam International.  This is something I would love to see!

Here’s another great article that has some amazing photos of the installation.
