Which Books Should You Read This Summer?

I must really be in to infographics this week.  I found this great infographic with 101 book choices for this summer.  It was created by teach.com for high school teens as a way to encourage reading for fun this summer.  It’s a great big flowchart with both fiction and nonfiction options.  Now everyone has their own opinion about what should be on the list, but I think this is a great way for people to get an idea about what to read!  Check out the infographic on the Teach.com’s website.

Many of the books on the list are classical fiction, but there is also a great list of contemporary books on the list such as The Kite Runner, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, and American Born Chinese.  I also liked that they included some popular fiction for teens as well.

They even included an entire section on non-fiction – not something I normally turn to read for fun, but there have been some great non-fiction books written in the past few years that read much more like a story.  Take a look and see if your favorites made the list or find a new book to read – there’s still plenty of summer left!
