Maze Runner

So, I finally got a chance to read Maze Runner by James Dashner and I loved it!  That being said, I also loved The Hunger Games trilogy.  Maze Runner is fast paced with interesting characters and a plot that makes you want to know more.

Thomas, the main character, wakes up in an elevator remembering nothing but his name.  He ends up in a world where 60 teen boys survive on their own while trying to understand the maze that surrounds their environment.  Not much is known about this world, but each night the maze walls shift, never revealing an exit.  Eventually, Thomas with the help of some of the other characters learns the secrets of the maze leaving the reader with a cliffhanger for book number two, The Scorch Trials.  This is a great time to read The Maze Runner because the third and final book was just released last week on October 11, 2011, The Death Cure.
