Picture Book Month: Shapes

8471013This is an adorable story of a perfectly happy, perfect square until it goes on an adventure! Each day of the week the square finds itself changing in color and shape as it is cut, crumpled, ripped and put back together into beautiful illustrations. And in the end, the perfect square realizes that being a perfect square isn’t as important as it first thought. This would be a great story to re-create with a few sheets of construction paper at home and then re-tell it using your own “illustrations.”
