Robot Zombie Frankenstein

I have found the cutest, most fun book to share with boys (and girls!) in preschool through first and even second grade.  The book’s title is Robot Zombie Frankenstein and it is written by Annette Simon.

This book uses a child’s imagination and sense of play as two robots who look too similar decide to try to one up each other.  The results are hysterical beginning with a Robot Zombie and continuing on until the reader has a robot zombie pirate superhero, etc.

The ending is absolutely delightful when the two robot friends decide to enjoy some of delicious cherry pie.  This a great book that could incite some of your own crafty robots complete with their own disguises.  The endpapers show the different parts that each robot uses to change their outfit and style.

A great book to use not only one-on-one but also as a craft program for young kids in a library.  Read the book and make your own Robot Zombie Frankenstein creations!  The author’s website also has an activity kit and a cute little book trailer as well.  Check it out!
